UPDATED: Oscar's Christening!

Today was the big day, Little Prince Oscar was christened! The entire family was out in full force bringing us lots of little antics, laughs, and smiles. From Estelle pouring in the baptismal water, to little Nicolas and his toothbrush- it was a fun service! If you did not get a chance to watch it you can go check out the recording here.
Victoria wore a new white dress from Self Portrait - By Malina now says it is theirs...UPDATE: The dress is from their AW16 Pre-Fall Collection which will be in stores Mid-June. ( It has been a real struggle to find the dress but it is beautiful!!) Her earrings come from Kreuger Jewellery and her shoes come from Gianvito Rossi. Her white hat featuring feathers and a net veil was made by Philip Treacy.

Next up we saw Princess Madeleine who was one of the godmothers to little Prince Oscar. She carried Leonore upon arrival and had her hands full with her throughout the entire service. Leonore danced around, played with her little toys, and even managed to tip her chair over!

Madeleine wore a new blush colored dress from Roksanda. She wore the diamond earrings from Queen Josefine's Diamond Stomacher. Her shoes are the same pair that she wore to Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia's Marriage Bans Ceremony and come from Jimmy Choo.

Princess Sofia arrived looking amazing- one of the quickest ways to my heart is by wearing a cape and she did just that! I really hope this is not the last time we see this dress because it is just fantastic- and the color looks amazing on her!
Sofia wore a light blue dramatic dress from Antonio Berardi, she carried a small Valentino studded clutch. It appears that she is wearing the same earrings from the King's Birthday and wearing her nude colored Yves Saint Laurent shoes.

Now onto the little ones! Estelle arrived with her parents looking like a proud big sister! She told reporters that it went well afterwards. Wearing her own hairpiece and a string of pearls, she certainly looked like the royal she is!

Estelle wore a white dress featuring flower details from Charabia Paris she also carried a bag from the same brand.
Leonore and Nicolas were both attending in blue and white (yet-to-be-identified) ensembles. I have looked through my photo archives and do not see their outfits in published photos of Carl Philip, Madeleine, or Victoria but that does not mean they are not old pieces.
Queen Silvia- how did I almost forget her! She arrived in a blush pink color which meant she was able to wear her newest gems to her large impressive collection. These jewels she debuted a little over a year ago and they are stunning!

UPDATE: Her bag and shoes come from Jimmy Choo, and is still available to be purchased on FarFetch and Bergdorf Goodman, respectively.

This post will be updated throughout the day with more details but I wanted to give you what we know right away!

UPDATED: Prince Oscar Carl Olof!

This morning the King announced the newest Bernadotte Prince's name- Oscar Carl Olof! He will be called Prince Oscar and is Duke of Skåne. The King said that he had not met the littlest one yet as he has the Flu and they want to be careful with germs- but he was hopeful that he would get to meet him this afternoon. The Court published this photo of the new family of 4 going home from the hospital.

This afternoon the entire Royal Family (minus Victoria) attended the Te Deum for Prince Oscar. Princess Madeleine who was here in Stockholm for the birth attended as well as her husband Chris O'Neill- even though he was not originally on the calendar to attend. I imagine he flew over from London last minute.
Princess Estelle also attended looking very adorable in a jacket that had once been worn by her Aunt. I think she is wearing the same Marie Chantal dress that she wore in her 4th Birthday photos.

Queen Silvia pulled out a blue suit to celebrate the new prince's arrival and Princess Sofia also wore a new blue dress. This dress, while it is still unconfirmed, is from Ida Lanto- the same designer of 2 other maternity dresses she has worn recently. She wore black pumps and carried a new clutch which appears to be from Diane von Furstenberg. Her hat was made by Swedish Milliner Malinda Damgaard.

Princess Madeleine wore green ensemble- the coat we have seen before as she wore it when she was pregnant with Leonore in 2013 while attending an event for Min Stora Dag. (Don't read too much into her wearing it while pregnant- it was early in the pregnancy and not maternity) She paired it with a dark green skirt or dress- hard to say from the photos, and new green boots from Tod's. The boots are a few years old but the first time she has been photographed wearing them. (Huge thanks to @PrincessanSofia for the find) She carried what appears to be her Angel Jackson and her necklace looks to be from Marni.

You can see more photos from the Te Deum Service at Svenskdam. I think that wraps up this morning's excitement for now. I will update the post if new fashion finds are found.

Saturday Catch-Up

Yesterday there were a bunch of photos of different outings from the Swedish Ladies from the past few days- but I was just plum too tired to post about them. (I had my own Julmarknad to attend to...)

Speaking of Julmarknad (Christmas Markets)- Victoria, Daniel, and Estelle attended one at the Royal Stables yesterday.

A photo posted by Kungahuset (@kungahuset) on

This was not an announced visit but something I imagine they were doing as a family and the court decided to release photos afterwards. One distinct piece of clothing I can ID is Estelle's coat. You may recognize it as being the same coat she wore to pick up the Christmas trees at the palace last year- or you could recognize it from the 1970s when Victoria wore it. I was surprised to see it again- I figured a year later Estelle would not fit into it as kids grow like weeds but I guess I was wrong!

Another outing that was pictured yesterday was Sofia attending a Friday Night soccer/football game apart of a new Project Playground initiative. They are sponsoring an event where refugee children get to connect and meet others in similar places as them through playing on a large field after hours.

My great Facebook and Twitter followers alerted me that she was wearing a top from IRO and pants that may be from Isabella Oliver Maternity. (I really don't know about the pants- the photos are too blurry to say for sure so I am not going to post them on the blog)

I think that is all for news that I have missed. Let me know if I forgot something dear readers!

UPDATED: A Royal Christening

Today Prince Nicolas was christened and the entire Swedish Royal Family was out in new outfits looking amazing. Let's look at what they wore!

Starting with the mother, Princess Madeleine, she wore a dress from Valentino (no real surprise there- she has worn Valentino for her wedding and Princess Leonore's Christening). Her shoes are from Gianvito Rossi.

Little Leonore stole the show refusing to sit still. She was running around the church and being well 1! She wanted to know what was going on and who can blame her!

For her brother's big day, she wore a dress from Bonpoint. Leonore's had the addition of some lace which I wonder if it came from her mother's wedding dress.

Next up is Queen Silvia, who was dressed nicely in blue for the ceremony. She has worn Valentino at her last 2 grandchildren's christenings but I am unsure about this piece. Nevertheless- I loved it.

Crown Princess Victoria showed off her baby bump in a beautiful purple dress. Reports say it is from Seraphine but I have an email out to my contact at the company to confirm and possibly get some stock pictures.
UPDATE: I have confirmed that this dress is indeed from Seraphine. They said that they have created a few bespoke pieces for Victoria and this is one of them. This means 2 things- 1. no stock photos and 2. we can expect to see more of this brand on her!
Princess Estelle was right on Leonore's tail for stealing the show. Estelle at one point ran out of her seat to go get her crying cousin his pacifier. What a sweetheart!

Estelle rewore her outfit from Princess Sofia and Prince Carl Philip's Marriage Ban ceremony which came from Marie Chantal.

Finally for the royal ladies comes Princess Sofia.

Sofia looked amazing in a fuchsia dress from Gucci which I think was by far my favorite. She wore this dress with shoes from the Swedish brand, Rizzo.

Wedding Day!!

Well I am off to a family wedding so a detailed post will have to wait but- Sofia wore a dress from Ida Sjöstedt. Victoria wore a gown from H&M's Conscious Collection, and Madeleine was in Elie Saab. (They all looked amazing.)

Well we finally can call her Princess Sofia! Sofia and Carl Philip were married yesterday in a fantastic ceremony full of surprises and little twists that made is personal while also being a state occasion. I loved every minute of it! Let's start our review off with the bride as it only seems fitting!
The royal court described Sofia's dress as the following.
"The bride's wedding dress, in three shades of white, was created by the Swedish designer Ida Sjöstedt. The dress is made from silk crepe overlaid with Italian silk organza. Couture lace made by José María Ruiz was applied to the dress and the train was hand-cut and then hand-stitched in Ida Sjöstedt's atelier in Stockholm."
Her veil had the same detailing. As a wedding gift from the King and Queen she received a new tiara which featured diamond palmette motifs and what looked to be emeralds upon the top. I think it is a beautiful tiara and while I am ashamed that she did not wear the Connaught Tiara (which made an appearance don't worry) I guess I should be happy that she has a tiara of her own as her sisters-in-law already do. For her earrings she looked to be wearing Queen Josefina's Stomacher Earrings which were small enough not to over shine the dress and tiara but they carried the right amount of sparkle!
Since I already mentioned the Connaught Tiara, I guess next we should look at Crown Princess Victoria's wedding outfit. Victoria surprised us and wore a custom H&M dress. Who would have thought we would see H&M at a royal wedding! (Actually I saw another H&M gown as well so I guess anything is possible) Apparently Victoria saw this skirt from the H&M Conscious Collection and had her stylist contact them to see if they could make it into a dress for her. She looked stunning and I think she made an excellent choice.
For jewels Victoria gave us a real treat by wearing the Connaught Tiara for the first time ever. I love how simple yet stunning this tiara is. Victoria has worn it as a necklace once before but never as a tiara so I was extremely excited to see her in it at the wedding. (Even if it meant that Sofia would not be wearing it) Victoria wore pearl earrings from the Bernadotte Collection and a diamond bow brooch with a pearl drop (both which we have seen Victoria wear before). The brooch can be traced all the way back to Victoria of Baden. Her pin on her back was a small diamond brooch but I am unsure if it is one of the diamond buttons or her brooch from Lilian and Bertil.

Estelle was also there acting as a bridesmaid, something that was very much expected. She wore a dress from Ida Sjöstedt and a bow and shoes from Livly. She carried a miniature bouquet of flowers matching Sofia's. Estelle had some fantastic moments which I am sure we will look at shortly as the schedules are looking bear for the Swedish Royal Family in the next week or two. (Which is quite understandable with the big affair they just put on).
Moving on to Madeleine- She wore a gown from Elie Saab's Resort 2015 Collection which she had modified to fit her 9 month adorable baby bump. She was glowing. She carried a clutch which is also from Elie Saab and I saw that she went with lower heels than she is normally used to, something I was very pleased to see!
Madeleine gave us flashbacks to her wedding with the jewels. She wore her wedding tiara, the Carl XVI Gustaf Modern Fringe, which is suspected to have been a gift from the King to the Queen on their 10th Wedding Anniversary. It is Madeleine's favorite tiara to wear and she probably choose it for that reason as well as it's lightness in weight. She paired it with the Vasa earrings and a bracelet I had never seen before. She wore the diamond bow brooch and on her back was one of the diamond buttons.
Leonore turned up in all her adorableness and fidgetyness! She looked adorable wearing a dress which was once worn by King Gustaf VI Adolf (the dress is over a hundred years old). She was extremely intrigued by everything from the tiaras to the ceiling to Queen Margrethe! She was passed down the line of aunt, uncle, grandmother a few times and at one point some of us were joking that Sofia was going to end up holding her!
Finally Queen Silvia- She turned up in a dress that just screamed typical Silvia. Nothing too spectacular or surprising but I was pretty close with my color prediction of purple. Her dress had a purple hint to it- or at least in my eyes it did.
As for jewels I was correct in my prediction of the Leuchtenburg Sapphires being brought out. While this is one of Silvia's "big guns" it is actually quite lightweight making it easy to carry on your head for an extended period of time. (Which the wedding celebration was- Silvia and Carl Gustaf did not leave until around 4am!) On her back Silvia had a diamond brooch which I suspect to be one of the diamond buttons.
Over all it was a fabulous wedding and my jewel predictions were 50% correct. Victoria surprised me by not wearing any of Lilian's jewels but I was glad to see her in the Connaught! Later in the week I will post about the King's sisters apparel and jewels.

Marriage Bans for Sofia and Carl Philip

Today was Sofia and Carl Philip's Marriage Bans Service at the Royal Chapel in Stockholm. This meant we had lots of hats, and new fashions for all. Plus we got to see the two littlest Princesses dressed in matching coats! Let's start by going through the fashion in order of succession.
First off, Victoria. For today she wore a new dress from Filippa K paired with a Philip Treacy hat. She wore her white/grey pump from By Malene Birger and her silver Nancy Gonzalez clutch.

Estelle wore a dress and coat from Marie Chantal and her typical Livly bow and shoes.

Sofia wore a hat from Malinda Damgaard and a dress with a matching jacket from MaxMara (thanks @yourlovemoments). She carried a Bottega Veneta clutch. UPDATE: Thanks to Heaven- Sofia also wore her Kurt Geiger pumps!

Madeleine wore a lace Champagne colored dress under a matching coat Seraphine. The coat is a bespoke piece but they kindly sent me photos. She paired it with a pair of nude heels and clutch both from Jimmy Choo and topped the ensemble off with a Philip Treacy hat. (Madeleine's dress- Their Allegra style dress- is currently out of stock but it will be restocked by the end of the week for those of you who are interested! It is the same dress she wore in blue to the Magnusson Christening in March.)

Leonore wore the same coat as Estelle from Marie Chantal as well as a dress from them, a pair of silver shoes, and a bow from Livly.
