Prince Alexander! (and Family)

Yesterday the Prince Couple released photos of Prince Alexander in connection to Prince Carl Philip's Birthday. These series of 5 photo were taken in Drottningholm Palace and on the grounds around the palace. These photos were taken by Erika Gerdemark, who also took the couples Engagement Photos, Wedding Photos, and now their new family photos. I suspect she has come the Prince Couple's photographer as both of his sisters seem to have their go-to photographers. (Crown Princess Victoria - Kate Gabor, Princess Madeleine- Brigitte Grenfeldt)

The photos also feature another member of their little family- Siri!

In the first selection of photos, Sofia is wearing a new white dress from Lindex. In the final photo she is wearing a top from H&M and trousers from Tiger of Sweden. Her shoes are not Gianvito Rossi as has been previously reported- the heels are not the same. The pumps are currently a UFO (unidentified fashion object) but we are trying to identify them and when that happens we shall update the blog!

First Day of the State Visit from Chile

Today both Victoria and Sofia joined the King and Queen alongside their spouses to welcome the President of Chile to Sweden! This State Visit will be from today until Thursday and although only the King and Queen are listed on the Court's Calendar, I imagine this is not the last we have seen of either Victoria or Sofia.

Today, both ladies joined in in welcoming the President Michelle Bachelet to the Royal Palace and attended a lunch at the Palace. They posed for photos before dining and that is what you see below.

Victoria wore a new blush pink dress from The Fold London and a new pair of blush pink shoes from Acne! (Thanks Johanna for the comment!) Due to the fact that I have only seen this photo so far it is hard to say but I believe that she is wearing her Philip Treacy headpiece first worn to Princess Leonore's Christening. Victoria also appears to be wearing a brooch that she has had for a few years from the Marni for H&M Collection.

Princess Sofia wore a matching white dress and jacket which she paired with her Manolo Blahnik pumps. These pink pumps she first wore during her Nobel's Debut back in 2014.

This post will be updated as we get better photos and more ID's are made so stay tuned for that!

UPDATED: Celebrations for the King!

We are taking a break from our mini hiatus to cover the King's Birthday Celebrations!

As many of you know, my favorites in the Swedish Royal House are not the younger generation but the King and Queen. To those of you who don't know this- Surprise! They don't get talked about as much on this blog but they are my favorites!

Tomorrow is the King's 70th Birthday and the celebrations began earlier this week. Today was the first day that anyone besides the King and Queen began to take part in the Celebrations. Madeleine and Chris (along with the kids and Chris's Mother) arrived in Stockholm yesterday. The Court updated the calendar and removed some of the scheduled events Sofia was going to attend- which I think we can all agree- makes sense considering that she just gave birth. But don't fret- We will still see her at some of the shorter events!
This afternoon Silvia, Carl Gustaf, Victoria and Daniel attended the presentation of some Scholarships under the Berndadotte Program at the Royal Opera. The Royal Court writes that this is a new collaboration between the royal artistic and humanistic academies. Some of the participants   include: The Royal Academy of Fine Art, The Royal Swedish Academy of Music, and the Royal Gustavus Adolphus Academy for Swedish Folk Culture just to name a few. You can see a full gallery here.
Victoria wore to this event a new dress from H&M Conscious Collection. She has had the dress altered to be longer which I feel was an appropriate decision for this event. H&M describes the dress and its fabric as:
The jacquard texture with gold threads over an off-white base creates a precious layer upon which glass bead flower embroideries are applied. The jacquard fabric is made from a blend of Tencel and organic silk. The glass bead embroideries are made from recycled glass

She paired this dress with a new pair of neutral colored heels. Perhaps when we get some better photos we can identify them better. Victoria also carried her Anya Hindmarch Gold Clutch. Her jewelry is all pieces she has worn before but never been identified. I have a feeling that they will remain unidentified as they are most likely custom pieces.

Queen Silvia wore the blue suit first seen in the Official Photos released earlier this week.

Later tonight, there will be a concert at the Nordic Museum in Stockholm which we should see a great turnout of guests from Royal Houses and Swedish Government. I will post about that later when it happens. (It is my mother's birthday so the post may come a bit later but this post will be updated with time!)

Guests have begun to arrive for this evening's concerts. Personal friends, Family and Government Representatives - as well as a few royal will be in attendance. One of the first to arrive and catch my eye was Daniel's parents Ewa and Olle Westling.

What particularly caught my eye was the clutch that Ewa was carrying. It looks strikingly similar to a LK Bennett clutch that Victoria used frequently in 2009-2011. I believe the model is Ripley clutch and I do not believe it is sold any more. This would not be the first time that Victoria has loaned out pieces of her closet to various family members and friends. Around the time of Daniel and Victoria's wedding she loaned a gown to Daniel's sister. She has also loaned clothes to her sisters and sister-in-laws frequently.
The Royals have arrived!

Victoria is wearing a bespoke Skirt/Dress from H&M's Conscious Collection (I have emailed them asking for more information about this piece and will post it when I get it). H&M sent along the following information about the pieces.
The Crown Princess wears a unique version from this spring’s Conscious Exclusive collection – customized for this occasion by H&M’s design team. The Crown Princess wears a black blouse in organic mulberry silk and a jacquard woven golden skirt made of organic mulberry silk and recycled polyester (made from PET bottles). The bag is made of the same silk as the skirt and is also customized for this occasion.
She has a bespoke clutch of the same material which she is carrying again tonight. She paired it with a necklace from Balmain for H&M necklace and a new pair of earrings and bracelet that I am still working on ID's for. Her shoes come from Dolce & Gabbana - thanks to all the lovely ladies on Twitter for finding them at the same time for me!

Madeleine arrived with Chris and Eva O'Neill as well.

Madeleine is wearing a dress from Erdem (found by Alyssa on Twitter). She is wearing a white coat over it that she has worn before (but has no ID) and carrying her black Bottega Veneta Clutch. She is wearing a pair of baroque pearl earrings (has had since 2012-2013) and Marchesa pumps with black lace and pearls.

Queen Silvia arrived wearing a Blue Lace gown and the Leuchtenberg Sapphire Earrings and Brooch. Under the coat she wore a *modest* diamond necklace.

Meetings at the Palace

Today,  Carl Gustaf and Victoria held an audience for Anna Lindstedt , Sweden's climate ambassador at the Royal Palace. They discussed the global climate agreement reached during the COP21 at Paris last December and how climate work is progressing.

She wore a top from H&M maternity line that she already wore when she was pregnant with Estelle. Sarah IDed this top a few weeks ago!

Sofia held an audience for Diana Madunic, the ambassador for sustainable business but for now, no photos were made available but this post will be updated when we have one!

Triple Threat

Today was a busy day for the Swedish Royal Family. Victoria had 3 Public Meetings and the rest of the (Stockholm based) family had at least one. The day started with Victoria and Carl Gustaf holding a Council of State and then Daniel, Carl Philip, Sofia, and Silvia joined them for a presentation on Sweden's new export strategy.

For these engagements Victoria wore her blue pleated Seraphine dress with YSL pumps and carried her Valentino Bag. Silvia wore a jacket from Armani Collezioni.

Later this evening Victoria attended the Global Change Awards held in Stockholm's City Hall.

She wore a new navy blue gown which is being reported as H&M Conscious Collection 2016 but I am waiting for confirmation. UPDATE: H&M confirmed that the dress is from this collection. She also debuted a new clutch and new earrings. Her earrings come from H&M Conscious Collection 2016- while they are not the exact same as the ones shown below I suspect that is because they were just too long for Victoria's liking. It appears that she removed 3 of the rungs and I must say she looks lovely in them. Her clutch comes from this H&M collection as well. Her shoes I haven't got a good look at yet but I imagine they are YSL. H&M has not released stock photos of the items yet but they did confirm their pieces to me. They informed me that both the gown and the bag were custom pieces that they created for the Crown Princess based off items from the collection.

Dinner at the Palace

Tonight the Royal Family hosted the first of the years Representationsmiddag- a dinner which they host a few times of years for Representatives from around Sweden. Tonight marked Sofia's first Representationsmiddag since she became a Princess of Sweden. Tonight's dinner is hosted by the King and Queen, with Victoria, Daniel, Carl Philip, and Sofia in attendance. (For those of you missing Madeleine- we will see her in 2 weeks) This is likely to be one of Victoria's last high publicity engagement before she gives birth. The court has said that she is due in early March but I really am thinking that it will be the end of February just like Estelle.

Queen Silvia pulled out one of her red lace gowns- honestly I am not surprised. Over the years of analyzing, reading and studying about the Swedish Royal Family I have come to the educated conclusion that red is one of her favorite colors. Normally I don't mind this gown but with the mismatching shall I am just not a fan of it tonight. Perhaps without the shall it would have been better.

She is wearing the Connaught Tiara for the first time in awhile so she gets redemption points with that. (I love that tiara!) She wore the Karl XIV Johan Diamond Earrings as well as a diamond collet necklace. It was a very Diamondy (is that a word? It should be) ensemble.

Crown Princess Victoria wore one of the two gowns that I wished she would wear- but now I am regretting it. She first wore this gown when she was pregnant with Estelle in 2011.

She carried a new Bottega Veneta clutch (!!) and while I have yet to see a great photo of her shoes, I imagine them to be her grey By Malene Birger pumps. She wore the Baden Fringe Tiara with a pair of earrings that we haven't seen in some time (I think the last time we saw them was Madeleine's Pre-Wedding Party.) I cannot see if they are diamond or crystals but I imagine they are diamonds. The earrings also have a hint of blue in them but I am not a stone expert so I cannot even begin to guess what kind they are! She wore one of the diamond brooches on her sash as well. On her right wrist she wore one of the two Bernadotte Diamond Tennis Bracelets.

Princess Sofia wore a gold shimmering gown which she appears to have borrowed from her friend. (Her friend Olivia- not Carolina like Svenskdam has/was reporting wore it to Carl Philip and Sofia's wedding this summer) The dress was made by Thalia, a brand very familiar with the Swedish Royal Family. Göran Alfredsson, the head designer, created Victoria's 18th Birthday Dress as well as both gowns Sofia wore to Madeleine's wedding in 2013.

She carried her H&M Glitter Clutch and from the very low quality, far away photo I saw she could be wearing her Charlotte Olympia Wedding Shoes. She wore on her sash the gold and pearl brooch that Madeleine wore to the Nobel Ceremony in 2015 and on her right wrist she wore the other Bernadotte Diamond Dennis Bracelet. On her head she wore her Wedding Tiara. I am not a huge fan of this tiara-dress combination but she was given Emeralds- they cannot go with everything! (Side Note: I think Sofia will break into the Bernadotte Jewel Vaults but for now she wants to wear her Wedding Tiara to 1.Get used to having something on your head 2. Show her appreciation for the gift and 3. Because she probably loves it- I mean who doesn't love a tiara of your very own!)
We will see Victoria again on Friday and both, Victoria and Sofia, together next Wednesday.

January 21- A Busy Day for Princesses

Today was a busy day for Princesses All Around.

Let's start with Madeleine who owned the Paparazzi this morning by posting her own photos of her Vacation while getting a perfect jab in at them ignoring the families privacy. Go Madeleine!

Family time, sadly interrupted. What a pity we weren't just asked for photos, because here are some sweet ones.
Posted by Princess Madeleine of Sweden on Wednesday, January 20, 2016
In one of the photos, she can be seen wearing a super cute Beach Cover-Up from Juliet Dunn London. In the photos you can also see Leonore in some Livly Bows and a dress from Marie Chantal! One photo featuring Nicolas with Madeleine shows him wearing a bodysuit from Marie Chantal as well!

Next up we will go to Crown Princess Victoria who attended one of the concerts during the Young Music at the Palace which we discussed yesterday.

A photo posted by Kungahuset (@kungahuset) on

Later in the day, she visited Futebol da forca (IFK Tumba Football Club) and observed a training session. The Crown Princess Couple's Foundation supports the work that Tumba does.

She wore pants for the first time (for a public engagement) in many months today. I have no ideas on the outfit besides for that her bag is from Valentino and her shoes are Yves Saint Laurent. Her earrings come from Kreuger Jewellery.

Finally we are at Princess Sofia, who handled out the medals to Sophiasysters. On January 1st, she took over from the King's sister, Princess Christina as honorary chairman of Sophiahemmet.

She wore a beautiful new lace dress from H&M Maternity Line, over which she wore her Max Mara jacket from the Te Deum before the wedding. I think she is wearing Yves Saint Laurent pumps. Her bracelet comes from Pearls of Freja. (Credit for finding this dress goes to @PRINSESSANSOFIA on Twitter)

Young Music at the Palace

Today, Sofia joined the King and Queen at the concert of Young Music at the Palace (Unga Musik på Slottet). It has been a long standing tradition (since King Gustav VI Adolf in 1970) that once a month there is a concert at the palace (Musik på Slottet) but in 2009, the King started this weeklong concert series where young children are invited to listen to Young Musicians perform at the Palace in Stockholm. The King and Queen also attended a concert this morning before being joined by Sofia in the afternoon session.

For this Sofia wore a dress which I believe is from H&M, you can really see her bump growing but she has just to turn to Maternity Dresses. I have yet to find a good photo where you can see her shoes to know anything about them. Her bracelet comes from Pearls of Freja (See above).

Queen Silvia wore the suit that we discussed over a year ago. Thankfully she has kept the gigantic bows off - let's hope they are off for good!
