Christening Wrap-Up and New ID's

Well I am still recovering from my 20 hour day on Friday, but I wanted to provide you with a few quick photos and finds that have occurred since the christening. First of all- I woke up this morning to Princess Madeleine posting these adorable photos. It is Mother's Day in Sweden today so I am sure both her and Victoria are celebrating with their children.

Next, the Royal Court published the official photos from the Christening- these photos were taken by Anna-Lena Ahlström (who also took the photos above). Anna-Lena also took the photos which were published on the stamps at the beginning of the year.

Finally- I am so pleased to be able to tell you that I have found Princess Leonore's shoes from the Christening. They come from Pretty Ballerina- a brand which Princess Madeleine has also worn. It appears that Madeleine has removed the bow from the shoes, which I personally prefer. You can purchase the shoes for your little one here - and get a matching pair for yourself perhaps- here. If you checked the last post when it first posted- you will now notice that we have found Queen Silvia's shoes and bag- as well have added quite a few new pieces to her side page.

This week begins with a slow start but on Wednesday Victoria has a meeting at the Palace, Sofia has one on Thursday, and on Friday Madeleine, Chris, and Leonore will visit Götland! And June 6th is National Day- so we will see all the ladies in the National Dress. National Day is one of my favorite days so I am very excited! After that things calm down a bit- however I have some fun posts planned for the blog with a Guest Blogger or two so stay tuned for those!

UPDATED: Oscar's Christening!

Today was the big day, Little Prince Oscar was christened! The entire family was out in full force bringing us lots of little antics, laughs, and smiles. From Estelle pouring in the baptismal water, to little Nicolas and his toothbrush- it was a fun service! If you did not get a chance to watch it you can go check out the recording here.
Victoria wore a new white dress from Self Portrait - By Malina now says it is theirs...UPDATE: The dress is from their AW16 Pre-Fall Collection which will be in stores Mid-June. ( It has been a real struggle to find the dress but it is beautiful!!) Her earrings come from Kreuger Jewellery and her shoes come from Gianvito Rossi. Her white hat featuring feathers and a net veil was made by Philip Treacy.

Next up we saw Princess Madeleine who was one of the godmothers to little Prince Oscar. She carried Leonore upon arrival and had her hands full with her throughout the entire service. Leonore danced around, played with her little toys, and even managed to tip her chair over!

Madeleine wore a new blush colored dress from Roksanda. She wore the diamond earrings from Queen Josefine's Diamond Stomacher. Her shoes are the same pair that she wore to Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia's Marriage Bans Ceremony and come from Jimmy Choo.

Princess Sofia arrived looking amazing- one of the quickest ways to my heart is by wearing a cape and she did just that! I really hope this is not the last time we see this dress because it is just fantastic- and the color looks amazing on her!
Sofia wore a light blue dramatic dress from Antonio Berardi, she carried a small Valentino studded clutch. It appears that she is wearing the same earrings from the King's Birthday and wearing her nude colored Yves Saint Laurent shoes.

Now onto the little ones! Estelle arrived with her parents looking like a proud big sister! She told reporters that it went well afterwards. Wearing her own hairpiece and a string of pearls, she certainly looked like the royal she is!

Estelle wore a white dress featuring flower details from Charabia Paris she also carried a bag from the same brand.
Leonore and Nicolas were both attending in blue and white (yet-to-be-identified) ensembles. I have looked through my photo archives and do not see their outfits in published photos of Carl Philip, Madeleine, or Victoria but that does not mean they are not old pieces.
Queen Silvia- how did I almost forget her! She arrived in a blush pink color which meant she was able to wear her newest gems to her large impressive collection. These jewels she debuted a little over a year ago and they are stunning!

UPDATE: Her bag and shoes come from Jimmy Choo, and is still available to be purchased on FarFetch and Bergdorf Goodman, respectively.

This post will be updated throughout the day with more details but I wanted to give you what we know right away!

Sophiahemmet for Sofia!

Today, Princess Sofia handed out the honors to Sophiasysters at Sophiahemmet- a private hospital in Stockholm. Sophiasysters are graduates of the Sophiahemmet University, a school for nurses to get their education. Once they have graduated to trained nurses they are called Sophiasyster or a "Sophia Sister". You may recall that Princess Sofia took over as Honorary President of the hospital, succeeding her Aunt-in-Law (if you would like to give it a label) Princess Christina, Mrs. Magnusson. Princess Christina was president from 1972 until the beginning of this year.

Sofia wore a new dress from Goat Fashion (Found by the Always Fabulous Rebecca). This red dress features a raised neck and near side bow, 3/4 length sleeves plus Goats signature side seam pockets. She paired it with her nude pumps from Kurt Geiger and diamond pave hoops from Engelbert Stockholm.

Don't forget that tomorrow is Prince Oscar's Christening! The Godparents were announced this morning (Crown Prince Frederik, Crown Princess Mette Marit, Princess Madeleine, Oscar Magnusson, and Hans Åstrom) and the guest list was released (sans Personal Friends and Court Staff). I will be up bright and early (actually it won't be bright when I get up...) and will be commenting live on Twitter and if you tune into Expressen you just might see me there as well. It is going to be a fabulous time and with the promise of 4/5 cousins in attendance you can be sure there will be some chaotic moments!

Meetings at the Palace

Today Crown Princess Victoria participated in the board meeting of the Crown Princess Margareta Veterans Reserve Foundation. Victoria is chair of this foundation which supports different initiatives dealing with voluntary defense work around the country. In today's meeting she also handed out some medals to some participants. Victoria also held an audience for Hugo Nordenfeldt- but no photos have been released in connection to that.

Victoria appears to be wearing a white oversized top featuring folded sleeves. I cannot recall if we have seen this top before, I have a gut feeling that she has worn it or one like it before but I cannot find a photo to confirm my suspicions. The photo is not good enough for me to identify her shoes but they look to be either black or navy.

Don't forget that this Friday is the Christening of Prince Oscar! Guests begin to arrive at 11:00 CET and with the Royals arriving at 12:00 CET. I will be up (before 05:00 my time!) and Live Tweeting, helping Expressen (Who have been so kind to me recently- did you see the article they asked me to contribute to?!), and of course writing a post for all of you!

Social Media Sunday: Week 2

Thank you so much for all the Tweets, Messages, and comments we have recieved in response to last week's Social Media Sunday Post! Sounds like you all enjoy it so we will keep it going for a bit!

First up this week, Victoria, Daniel, Estelle, and Oscar returned from Öland and are back in Stockholm! They arrived in Öland at the end of last week and were there for 3-4 days- so a nice long weekend.

Check out this fun video of the King and President of Chile leaving the Royal Mews at the beginning of the state video! Oh to have a birds eye view of occasions such as this!

Victoria and Oscar were seen walking in Stockholm as well this week!

It was a very slow week for Social Media finds but that is not something I can control! Hopefully next week will have some more!

UPDATED: Prince Couple at the Royal Palace

Today the Prince Couple greeted Jeffrey Katzenberg at the Royal Palace in Stockholm. Jeffrey is an American Film Producer who has produced fims such as Shrek, Shrek 4-D, and the Road to el Dorado. He is currently visiting Sweden ahead of the release of the film, Trolls, and is going to attend the Eurovision Song Contest Final.

A photo posted by Kungahuset (@kungahuset) on

The Prince Couple also met with reporter Roger Lundgren. He writes that he was also introduced to Prince Alexander who slept peacefully through their meeting. I imagine there has been a little nursery made at the Palace for all these babies who are being born. I would think that both Sofia/Carl Philip and Victoria/Daniel are bringing their little ones to work with them.
Princess Sofia is wearing a dress from Prada which she first wore to the opening of the Princess Lilian Exhibition back in August. She wore an *interesting* navy coat from Gant over the dress. Her necklace is from Emma Israelsson.

Prince Alexander! (and Family)

Yesterday the Prince Couple released photos of Prince Alexander in connection to Prince Carl Philip's Birthday. These series of 5 photo were taken in Drottningholm Palace and on the grounds around the palace. These photos were taken by Erika Gerdemark, who also took the couples Engagement Photos, Wedding Photos, and now their new family photos. I suspect she has come the Prince Couple's photographer as both of his sisters seem to have their go-to photographers. (Crown Princess Victoria - Kate Gabor, Princess Madeleine- Brigitte Grenfeldt)

The photos also feature another member of their little family- Siri!

In the first selection of photos, Sofia is wearing a new white dress from Lindex. In the final photo she is wearing a top from H&M and trousers from Tiger of Sweden. Her shoes are not Gianvito Rossi as has been previously reported- the heels are not the same. The pumps are currently a UFO (unidentified fashion object) but we are trying to identify them and when that happens we shall update the blog!

Day 2 of State Visit

Today is the 2nd day of the State Visit from Chile to Sweden. The day started with the King and President attending a Business Forum organized by Business Sweden and ProChile at the Grand Hotel in Stockholm. The forum was created in hopes to highlight the two country's mutual desire for cooperation in the areas of sustainable mining, transport, healthcare, as well as energy and environmental technologies.

After this forum, Victoria, Daniel, and Carl Philip joined for a lunch held at Stockholm City Hall hosted by the President of Stockholm's City Council and the Finance Commissioner. Later today the President will host a response dinner at the Grand Hotel in Stockholm.

For the lunch at the City Hall, Victoria wore a white brocade dress from the British Brand, Suzannah. You might recall that the Countess of Wessex wore a similar dress from this brand not too long ago. Victoria paired it with her white Ralph Lauren bag and a pair of white heels which look to be from Gianvito Rossi. In her hair, Victoria wore a hairpiece that I believe is new but we will have to wait for our Royal Hat Expert to weigh in on that! She accessorized with a necklace and pair of earrings from Kreuger Jewellery.

First Day of the State Visit from Chile

Today both Victoria and Sofia joined the King and Queen alongside their spouses to welcome the President of Chile to Sweden! This State Visit will be from today until Thursday and although only the King and Queen are listed on the Court's Calendar, I imagine this is not the last we have seen of either Victoria or Sofia.

Today, both ladies joined in in welcoming the President Michelle Bachelet to the Royal Palace and attended a lunch at the Palace. They posed for photos before dining and that is what you see below.

Victoria wore a new blush pink dress from The Fold London and a new pair of blush pink shoes from Acne! (Thanks Johanna for the comment!) Due to the fact that I have only seen this photo so far it is hard to say but I believe that she is wearing her Philip Treacy headpiece first worn to Princess Leonore's Christening. Victoria also appears to be wearing a brooch that she has had for a few years from the Marni for H&M Collection.

Princess Sofia wore a matching white dress and jacket which she paired with her Manolo Blahnik pumps. These pink pumps she first wore during her Nobel's Debut back in 2014.

This post will be updated as we get better photos and more ID's are made so stay tuned for that!

Odds and Ends

Neither of these two photos have enough to write about to make them their own posts so let's lump them together as one!

Yesterday, Princess Madeleine posted this lovely photo of her with Nicolas on Facebook. She wanted to wish a Happy Mother's Day to everyone who acts like a mother keeping children safe. Mother's Day is not a Swedish Holiday nor was yesterday Mothering Sunday in the United Kingdom, but Madeleine did live in the United States for a few years so it makes sense that she is aware of it.

Nicolas is wearing a sweater from Marie Chantal in this photo! How precious! A reader on Facebook suggested that Madeleine's top might be from Zara but I don't think we can be certain on that with the low quality of the photo that we were given.

Today, Victoria and Daniel joined the King and Queen for a meeting about the State Visit from Chile that is about to take place. Currently the calendar only says that the King and Queen are going to be participating in this State Visit but I believe that is most likely not correct. So I wouldn't be surprised if we see some other members of the family joining in for different aspects of the visit.

Social Media Sunday: Week of May 2nd

After the great response from our post "Inside the Celebrations" last week, I've decided to do a trial run of a similar series of posts called- Social Media Sunday. I think this will be on a trial basis for a month or so to see what you all think. It will look like collection of posts from Social Media from the previous weeks featuring outings, sightings, and stories of the royals. It may include some fashion ID's that have come later in the week. I hope you enjoy! Don't forget to leave a comment or send me some feedback on what you thought!

The day after the celebration (May 1st) Victoria and Daniel were seen walking in Haga with their children.

On Monday, the King and Queen were photographed walking the dog Brandie in Drottningholm Park. Brandie is the brown dog in the photos. You can see the King leaning on the walking stick in the background and the queen in blue and her favorite brown coat.

Victoria and Daniel took the kids to Öland, where they have a house. Öland has a very special place in the Royal Family's heart and is a great place for the kids to spend their time running around outside, playing in the pool, at the sea, and going for walks! Victoria was seen out for a walk- the posters writes that she was wearing a sunhat and pushing a stroller.

The King and Queen seemed to take some private time to visit a museum in Malaysia after the Global Child Forum this week. Here they are at a museum where the King received a surprise Birthday Present!

More photos from their day off. They appear to be sightseeing in the city, something they don't often get a chance to do when they go on official tours abroad.

A Glimpse inside the Celebrations

I know this blog is a Fashion Blog, but that does not mean I am not interested things other than the Royal's Fashion! Fashion is just something that is fun to look for- it is a free, online scavenger hunt! And I love things free, online, and a good scavenger hunt! Another thing that fits into this category would be finding photos of the royals in the depths of Social Media! Today I want to give you a glimpse of what was going on inside the Royal Palace from some of the guests, staff, and performers!

First Up: Performers!

For the King's Private Party, the cast of Mamma Mia The Party came for entertainment! There was a few photos posted by one of the group members of them inside the palace. She writes that the King and Queen got up and danced with them onstage! This is not a huge surprise- you might recall that there were photos and stories of them dancing at Princess Madeleine's Wedding as well!

Some of the Chefs and Guards at the Palace also shared photos on various Social Media platforms! Here is a close up of the medals worn tonight!

A photo posted by Jonas-Olof Rosin (@jonrosin) on

This photo I believe is connected to the caption of the following photo. This first photo was shared by a hairdresser who was helping get the Bavarian Ladies ready. He looked out one of the window's of the Palace and he saw the King walking back from the Temporary Kitchen Tents set up in the Courtyard. The following photo is captioned saying the King had just visited the kitchen and had shared that he was getting hungry! I think those two photos are related- what do you think?

And a photo of the food for the evening being prepared!

A photo posted by Cissi Strand (@cissistrand) on

Finally some of the guests have taken to Social Media to share their times at the party! Apparently the King got up on stage and played guitar? That I would love to see a photo of!

Is this a post you want to see on the blog in the future? Or would you like me to strictly stick to the fashion? Let me know!
