Victoria and Daniel in South Korea

Today, Victoria and Daniel started their 3 day vist to South Korea and we saw Victoria in 3 outfits.

The first outfit was probably my favorite. For the 1st time since 28 August 2012 we saw Victoria wear her hair down. I was very excited.

She arrived in South Korea looking beautiful in a top from Mayla.
For her 2nd outfit of the day, Victoria wore this new blazer. I have searched but I do not know where it is from. She paired it with her blue Prada coat as well as her white Ralph Lauren bag.

For her final outfit of the day, Victoria went back to Mayla this time wearing their June dress from their SS15 collection and her Tabitha Simmons pumps.

Which outfit was your favorite today?

Huge thanks to Mayla for the photos. Other photos come from Expressen and Svenskdam.

Madeleine attends a conference in Stockholm

The Swedish Royal Family attends a Christening

Princess Christina's, King Carl Gustaf's sister, first grandchild and granddaughter was christened in Stockholm on Saturday March 21 and the entire royal family was in attendance. Leonore and Estelle looked exceedingly adorable and the rest of the family looked to be in good spirits. Let's look at the fashion by family section.

Victoria rewore her brown coat that she first debut in San Fransisco and paired it with her COS tan dress. She wore the same shoes as she did in her meeting last week from Tabitha Simmons. I believe her bag is from TOD but I am not sure.

Estelle wore a coat from Twist and Tango, adorably carried a bag from Marie Chantal, and wore shoes and a bow from Livly.

Sofia wore a new dress and jacket from Karen Millen which she paired with a clutch and shoes from LK Bennett.

And finally Madeleine and Leonore. I have no clue what Madeleine is wearing because of the coat covering the dress but it could be a dress from Tiffany Rose. Leonore wore a coat and bow from Livly.

Victoria at the Royal Academy

On Friday, March 20th, Crown Princess Victoria attended the annual celebration for the Royal Academy of Science at the Grand Hotel in Stockholm. Victoria is the first royal honorary member.

Victoria rewore her teal-green gown from Pronovias as well as her hair accessory from Jenny Packham.

Victoria at ICC and Madeleine with Childhood

So far this week, Victoria has had 1 surprise engagement ( meaning she attended an event that was not listed on her calendar available online) and 1 scheduled.  Last Friday, March 13, she attended the Swedish ICC Annual Meeting at the Grand Hotel in Stockholm. ICC is the International Chamber of Commerce. This post got delayed because we did not get photos until yesterday.

We did not get very good photos from this event, most likely because it was not made public, but from the photos we got I can tell that Victoria is wearing her white blouse from Greta.
She appears to be wearing a leather skirt and carrying a large black clutch from Hunkydory.

Another event of Victoria's that was unexpected was her attendance at a luncheon for the sponsors of Gundua Society, of which she is patron. Gundua's goal is to promote reading and writing in developing countries. A very lofty goal I must say (coming from the mouth of a future educator) but very necessary.
For this event we have 1 blurry photo and this photo above from Gundua's Facebook page. I believe Victoria is wearing her By Malene Birger necklace and I think that is her Mayla jacket but it is difficult to see the pockets to verify.

And finally Madeleine attended a board meeting for World Childhood Foundation today but I have no clue what she was wearing because 1. She was sitting behind a table 2. Madeleine's wardrobe is less predictable than Victoria's. (But I am working on figuring it out)

Victoria's Nameday

Today Victoria and Estelle were at Stockholm Royal Palace to celebrate Victoria's name day. Check out their matching looks!

Victoria rewore her Purple Prada coat and matched it with a black dress and black boots. No clue on the designer of either of those. She also wore her purple Charlotte Bonde earrings.

Estelle looked lovely in her Livly Lisa coat in dark purple.

UPDATE: Victoria also wore her Carolina Gynning necklace.

How to find "Old" Fashion

So I posted on Facebook a week or two ago wondering if anyone would be interested in me writing about how I go about finding "old" royal fashion. This is not as easy because you cannot just go and look on websites like "Neiman Marcus" or "Wakakuu" to see what is new and find matches- you have to look on the depths of the Internet to find these pieces and often it can take you forever because you don't know the designer. It is quite frankly exhausting and can be very frustrating and disappointing if you do not have a system down.

My Golden Rule when it comes to finding old fashion is "Searching for the style will almost always NOT get you to the item"- yep. That would be the easy way!! When it comes to finding old royal fashion (Okay- before I get to far into this article let me describe what I mean by OLD- I mean things that were worn 6 months or more ago and never identified) you want to search by designers. What I like to do is use websites like Ebay, Vestiaire Collection, or The Real Real and look under designers. When going about this you

  1. Need to have an unhealthy memory of the royals clothing OR
  2. Make a Pinterest board or Folder on you computer of pieces you want to identify.
I have done both. (My Pinterest board is private so you won't find it if you were about to go searching for it- but I guess I could make it public if there was an interest)

So now I am going to discuss HOW TO USE EBAY TO THE FULLEST POTENTIAL. Yep- that had to be in caps lock- just really needed to emphasis that. First- start with your countries Ebay website- now I would suggest searching a designer- Say we want to look for a dress of Victoria's from 2010, we can look back at the already identified pieces of hers from that time and see that she wore L.K. Bennett a lot during that time. So we want to search L.K. Bennett and then click dresses. Now go down and make sure you have the Worldwide option clicked for shipping- this will widen your results. It may seem like a daunting amount of dresses to go through but truthfully it is not that bad. When you have finished those results- don't feel discouraged if you don't find anything- there is still more searching to be done. NOW (I really am a fan of caps lock tonight) go back to the side menu and check off Sold Items - yep- you can search items that have already been sold... SO HELPFUL. And if you get through that and want to continue searching for L.K. Bennett dresses, you can go back to the main page and scroll to the bottom and switch countries- this is currently my favorite feature. If there is a designer who hails from Spain- Spain's Ebay could hold more for you than say the United States.

This is how I do my finds- also sometimes I find it to be better to set the sorting to be from Highest to Lowest so you don't get the knock-offs in the mix.

Feel free to send any other questions or comments my way- I really love interacting with you all! Makes this fun for me!

Happy Hunting!
