Welcome Prince Alexander!

The Royal Court announced the birth of Sofia and Carl Philip's baby- a boy- on 19 April at 18.25 (6:25 pm)! Prince Carl Philip held a press conference at the hospital a few hours following the baby's birth and told the press that they were surprised it was a boy (they had chosen not to find out the gender) and that the baby had dark hair. The Queen, who was in New York with Princess Madeleine, at the time got to see the baby by using Video Chat and said he was very cute.
The King was accompanied by the Crown Princess when he announced the babies name on 21 April to the Cabinet. The Prince will be called Prince Alexander Erik Hubertus Bertil, Duke of Södermanland. Södermanland has a special place in the Prince Couple's heart because Carl Philip has a house there and it is thought that it was in that house that they got engaged.

The newest Prince's names brought a mixture of surprise as well as the expected. I personally was not expecting Alexander or Hubertus to be apart of the name but I was very confident that Erik and Bertil would be included. Hubertus is one of the King's names so that is a nice tribute to him- I was expecting them to use either Carl or Folke. Erik is Sofia's father's name and Bertil is after Prince Bertil, Carl Philip's beloved Godfather. I am not sure where Alexander came from but it is a lovely name for the littlest Prince.

Victoria wore a blazer from Veronica Virta - some believe it to be a white color and other believe it to be a light pink. I personally think it is white so I am going to include it in that color here below. She also wore a pair of earrings from Charlotte Bonde.

The following day the family attended the Te Deum service for Prince Alexander. It was pushed back a day or two so that the Queen could be in attendance. Madeleine and her family were still in the United States as Madeleine was attending some meetings for Childhood so they did not fly back to attend.
Victoria wore her Light Pink LK Bennett coat which she had modified to remove the collar. She paired it with a Blouse and Skirt from Baum und Pferdgarten which I wish we could have seen a full length photo of! It looked lovely! Heres to hoping she wears it again!

Queen Silvia wore a neutral colored skirt and jacket. The jacket was first seen a few days prior while in New York.

Sofia at Sophiahemmet

Today Princess Sofia visited Sophiahemmet's operation and surgical wards. If you remember back, Sofia became their Honorary President at the beginning of this year, taking over from Princess Christina (The King's sister) who had been their president since 1972.

Sofia got a review of the hospital's structure and how they function as caregivers from the hospital's CEO and Chief Physician. Then Sofia got to tour the various rooms and was informed by the different department heads about their work and showed them around.

For this visit, Sofia wore a black knit sweater over her Seraphine Maternity blouse.  The photos are  low quality which makes identifying the accessories near impossible but I would imagine her necklace is Pilgrim for Project Playground.

Discussions at the Palace

Today, Princess Sofia joined her mother-in-law Queen Silvia for a meeting at the palace discussing what can be done to help newly arriving refugee children in Sweden. There was a great host of different organizations from around Sweden there partaking in the discussion including Mentor, an organization of which the Queen is Patron, World Childhood Foundation, and UNICEF- to name a few.  After the discussion the Queen and Sofia attended a workshop "Our Refugee Children: The Challenge of Our Time".

Sofia also visited Riddarholm Church and Treasury with the Department of Public Activities.

It looks like Sofia is wearing Seraphine's Emerald Keyhole Maternity Blouse with a black blazer over it. (Perhaps her Filippa K Blazer?)

When visiting Riddarholm she wore a black coat- sadly we don't have a good angle of it to figure out who it comes from.

Project Playground Dinner

Tonight Princess Sofia attended a gala dinner held at Hotel Riverton in Göthenborg for Project Playground. As many of you know, Princess Sofia started Project Playground along side Frida Vesterberg 5 years ago in South Africa. Sofia was the Secretary General until her marriage this past summer and now is Patron to the organization. I believe she still does other work inside the Project Playground Internal Offices but no longer has an official job in the office. Prince Carl Philip was supposed to join her tonight but he is sick with the flu and had to stay home.

Sofia wore a new Rose gown from Greta - black floral print. She has previously worn a blue Greta gown earlier in her pregnancy. She appears to be wearing black pumps and carrying a black clutch. The clutch seems to be a fold over clutch with gold zipper and a black and gold tassel hanging from the zipper. It reminds me of Hunkydory's style but I have seen it online yet. Sofia wore her Ophelia Faux Fur Jacket from Morris Stockholm over her dress.

Prinsparet at the Palace

Today Carl Philip and Sofia met with UN Ambassadors at the Royal Palace in Stockholm. The Ambassadors are in Sweden to followup on the climate meeting in Paris as well as the implementation of Agenda 2030. Victoria and Daniel last met the ambassadors in August at the Royal Palace, before it was announced that Victoria had accepted to be one of the ambassadors for Agenda 2030.

Sofia wore an outfit which may be familiar to some of you, she seems to have borrowed Victoria's blue Seraphine Sophia Pleated Dress (currently out of stock) as well as their Ivory Cropped Peplum Jacket! Seraphine informed me that they did provide the jacket to Sofia in her order but not the dress leading me to believe that she borrowed it from Victoria! This would not be the first time we have seen the ladies sharing clothes, Sofia has previously worn coats and jackets seen previously on both her Sisters-in-Laws, so borrowing a dress isn't a far stretch. This also makes it so that all 3 of the ladies have worn Seraphine's Cropped Peplum Jackets! Princess Madeleine wore it in black for her audience with the Pope last year and Crown Princess Victoria wore it while on an official visit to Peru and Colombia.

In addition to the pieces from Seraphine, Sofia carried a new (to me) blue bag and appears to be wearing the same black pumps which she wore to Oscar's Te Deum Service last week. The shoes were reported to be from Rizzo but I was not convinced so I did not post them. I am waiting to get feedback from my shoe experts (As I have said before, and will probably say again- I am terrible at identifying shoes) but I think they are probably from them.

Yesterday, Sofia held at meeting at the Palace for Make a Change's founder Christian Nordenström. Make a Change works to help stop bullying that occurs between teenagers and adults. It was announced that the Prinsparet's Foundation would be focusing on bullying so allying themselves with this organization is not unexpected.

Vi är hedrade över att idag ha fått möjligheten att presentera Make a Change för Prinsessan Sofia <3Hennes stora...

Sofia wore a new top from Seraphine to this meeting as well. You all know how much I adore Seraphine so I was over the moon to hear this news! I haven't minded Sofia's recent Maternity outfits by Ida Lanto, but no one does maternity as well as Seraphine. They have been doing it for a while and know what works with baby bumps and what to stay away from.

UPDATED: Prince Oscar Carl Olof!

This morning the King announced the newest Bernadotte Prince's name- Oscar Carl Olof! He will be called Prince Oscar and is Duke of Skåne. The King said that he had not met the littlest one yet as he has the Flu and they want to be careful with germs- but he was hopeful that he would get to meet him this afternoon. The Court published this photo of the new family of 4 going home from the hospital.

This afternoon the entire Royal Family (minus Victoria) attended the Te Deum for Prince Oscar. Princess Madeleine who was here in Stockholm for the birth attended as well as her husband Chris O'Neill- even though he was not originally on the calendar to attend. I imagine he flew over from London last minute.
Princess Estelle also attended looking very adorable in a jacket that had once been worn by her Aunt. I think she is wearing the same Marie Chantal dress that she wore in her 4th Birthday photos.

Queen Silvia pulled out a blue suit to celebrate the new prince's arrival and Princess Sofia also wore a new blue dress. This dress, while it is still unconfirmed, is from Ida Lanto- the same designer of 2 other maternity dresses she has worn recently. She wore black pumps and carried a new clutch which appears to be from Diane von Furstenberg. Her hat was made by Swedish Milliner Malinda Damgaard.

Princess Madeleine wore green ensemble- the coat we have seen before as she wore it when she was pregnant with Leonore in 2013 while attending an event for Min Stora Dag. (Don't read too much into her wearing it while pregnant- it was early in the pregnancy and not maternity) She paired it with a dark green skirt or dress- hard to say from the photos, and new green boots from Tod's. The boots are a few years old but the first time she has been photographed wearing them. (Huge thanks to @PrincessanSofia for the find) She carried what appears to be her Angel Jackson and her necklace looks to be from Marni.

You can see more photos from the Te Deum Service at Svenskdam. I think that wraps up this morning's excitement for now. I will update the post if new fashion finds are found.

Princess Sofia meets with Facebook

Today Princess Sofia and Prince Carl Philip met with Christine Grahn, the Public Policy Manager of Facebook Sweden. This meeting was set up by their foundation, the Prince Couple's Foundation. Joining them was their foundation's director Sofia Ewerlöf. I suspect they were discussing what the Prince Couple's Foundation could do in the area of Cyber Bullying- but no information was released to confirm that.

Sofia wore a black blazer over a pink button down shirt. If she wasn't pregnant I might suggest her jacket is from Filippa K but I don't know if that jacket could fit her at this month in her pregnancy. Still I am going to include it below as a possibility.

Today Princess Sofia met with Ängla Eklund, Sofia Ewerlöf, and Mårten Schultz to talk about how to work against Internet related violations. The Royal Court said,
"These are important questions for Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia. Via the Prince Couple's foundation, the Prince and Princess work to fight bullying with the vision that children and young people should have the right to be themselves. The focus is to fight Internet related hate and violations, as well as spread knowledge about dyslexia."

Meeting Friends at the Palace

Today Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia met with the organization Friends at the Royal Palace. Friends helps bring awareness and support to the issue of Cyberbulling. Cyberbulling is one of the focuses of the Prince Couple's Foundation so it makes sense that they would work together with Friends.

Sofia wore a black top under a white sweater. I suspect the black top is from Proud.

Arts Academy Formal Gathering

On 19 February, Sofia and Carl Philip joined the Queen when she handed out the diplomas to this years winners at the Arts Academy Formal Gathering.

Sofia wore a custom made maternity dress from Ida Lanto. She wore her faux fur jacket from Morris Stockholm and wore her Yves Saint Laurent pumps. Her bag comes from Unisa. I loved this outfit- she looks amazing.

Meetings at the Palace

Today,  Carl Gustaf and Victoria held an audience for Anna Lindstedt , Sweden's climate ambassador at the Royal Palace. They discussed the global climate agreement reached during the COP21 at Paris last December and how climate work is progressing.

She wore a top from H&M maternity line that she already wore when she was pregnant with Estelle. Sarah IDed this top a few weeks ago!

Sofia held an audience for Diana Madunic, the ambassador for sustainable business but for now, no photos were made available but this post will be updated when we have one!

Triple Threat

Today was a busy day for the Swedish Royal Family. Victoria had 3 Public Meetings and the rest of the (Stockholm based) family had at least one. The day started with Victoria and Carl Gustaf holding a Council of State and then Daniel, Carl Philip, Sofia, and Silvia joined them for a presentation on Sweden's new export strategy.

For these engagements Victoria wore her blue pleated Seraphine dress with YSL pumps and carried her Valentino Bag. Silvia wore a jacket from Armani Collezioni.

Later this evening Victoria attended the Global Change Awards held in Stockholm's City Hall.

She wore a new navy blue gown which is being reported as H&M Conscious Collection 2016 but I am waiting for confirmation. UPDATE: H&M confirmed that the dress is from this collection. She also debuted a new clutch and new earrings. Her earrings come from H&M Conscious Collection 2016- while they are not the exact same as the ones shown below I suspect that is because they were just too long for Victoria's liking. It appears that she removed 3 of the rungs and I must say she looks lovely in them. Her clutch comes from this H&M collection as well. Her shoes I haven't got a good look at yet but I imagine they are YSL. H&M has not released stock photos of the items yet but they did confirm their pieces to me. They informed me that both the gown and the bag were custom pieces that they created for the Crown Princess based off items from the collection.

Dinner at the Palace

Tonight the Royal Family hosted the first of the years Representationsmiddag- a dinner which they host a few times of years for Representatives from around Sweden. Tonight marked Sofia's first Representationsmiddag since she became a Princess of Sweden. Tonight's dinner is hosted by the King and Queen, with Victoria, Daniel, Carl Philip, and Sofia in attendance. (For those of you missing Madeleine- we will see her in 2 weeks) This is likely to be one of Victoria's last high publicity engagement before she gives birth. The court has said that she is due in early March but I really am thinking that it will be the end of February just like Estelle.

Queen Silvia pulled out one of her red lace gowns- honestly I am not surprised. Over the years of analyzing, reading and studying about the Swedish Royal Family I have come to the educated conclusion that red is one of her favorite colors. Normally I don't mind this gown but with the mismatching shall I am just not a fan of it tonight. Perhaps without the shall it would have been better.

She is wearing the Connaught Tiara for the first time in awhile so she gets redemption points with that. (I love that tiara!) She wore the Karl XIV Johan Diamond Earrings as well as a diamond collet necklace. It was a very Diamondy (is that a word? It should be) ensemble.

Crown Princess Victoria wore one of the two gowns that I wished she would wear- but now I am regretting it. She first wore this gown when she was pregnant with Estelle in 2011.

She carried a new Bottega Veneta clutch (!!) and while I have yet to see a great photo of her shoes, I imagine them to be her grey By Malene Birger pumps. She wore the Baden Fringe Tiara with a pair of earrings that we haven't seen in some time (I think the last time we saw them was Madeleine's Pre-Wedding Party.) I cannot see if they are diamond or crystals but I imagine they are diamonds. The earrings also have a hint of blue in them but I am not a stone expert so I cannot even begin to guess what kind they are! She wore one of the diamond brooches on her sash as well. On her right wrist she wore one of the two Bernadotte Diamond Tennis Bracelets.

Princess Sofia wore a gold shimmering gown which she appears to have borrowed from her friend. (Her friend Olivia- not Carolina like Svenskdam has/was reporting wore it to Carl Philip and Sofia's wedding this summer) The dress was made by Thalia, a brand very familiar with the Swedish Royal Family. Göran Alfredsson, the head designer, created Victoria's 18th Birthday Dress as well as both gowns Sofia wore to Madeleine's wedding in 2013.

She carried her H&M Glitter Clutch and from the very low quality, far away photo I saw she could be wearing her Charlotte Olympia Wedding Shoes. She wore on her sash the gold and pearl brooch that Madeleine wore to the Nobel Ceremony in 2015 and on her right wrist she wore the other Bernadotte Diamond Dennis Bracelet. On her head she wore her Wedding Tiara. I am not a huge fan of this tiara-dress combination but she was given Emeralds- they cannot go with everything! (Side Note: I think Sofia will break into the Bernadotte Jewel Vaults but for now she wants to wear her Wedding Tiara to 1.Get used to having something on your head 2. Show her appreciation for the gift and 3. Because she probably loves it- I mean who doesn't love a tiara of your very own!)
We will see Victoria again on Friday and both, Victoria and Sofia, together next Wednesday.

Meetings at the Palace

Today both Sofia and Victoria held audience at the Royal Palace in Stockholm. Sofia held an audience for Pernilla Hillerås- a research director at Sophiahemmet. You will remember that just last week Sofia attended the graduation ceremony for some of the nurses from Sophiahemmet.

Sofia wore a top we first saw back in 2014 which comes from Hunkydory.

Victoria held an audience for Johan Rockström who is a Professor of Environmental Science at Stockholm University. They discussed current environmental concerns as well as Victoria's ambassadorship for Agenda 2030.

Victoria appears to be wearing her By Malene Birger blazer that she debuted last week as well as her Pistol Top from Mayla.
